Let's introduce you to our keuring venue! Mount Holyoke College has been a staple in New England sine being built in 1987. Mount Holyoke College Equestrian Center is considered to be one of the finest facilities for educational and competitive riding available to students anywhere.
Welcome to this years FHANA Keuring! We are all very excited to once again be able to come back together to have our beautiful black pearls inspected by the judges. This year is bound to be a fantastic year with so many horses traveling from all over New England!
Site Entries deadline is August 12, 2024 before late fee is imposed.
There are limited amount of permanent stalls available. They are available on a first come, first serve basis only. Temporary stalls will be available. Tack stalls will ONLY be available if there are enough stalls and NOT guaranteed.
First, A Few Housekeeping Items
All horses must a health certificate, no matter where they are traveling from. Health certificates must be turned into the check in desk prior to unloading from the trailer and receiving your stall assignment. Any horses entering the barn prior to check in WILL be asked to leave the grounds and will not be allowed to participate in the inspection without a refund. Health Certificates are strictly required by the venue.
Horses may begin to enter the grounds at 12:00 PM on Sunday. Please do not arrive in prior to 12:00 PM without prior arrangements, you will be asked to leave prior to this.
IBOP's will begin at 8:00 AM. The next two horses must be on deck, ready to go. There will be a strict on deck policy to keep the inspection running in a timely manner. If your horse is not ready to enter at the call to enter, you will be skipped and we will move onto the next horse. If we are not able to accommodate you at the end of the IBOP's due to being skipped, there will NOT be a refund by the host or FHANA.
No one is allowed in the arena during the inspection. NO owners, friends, non -official photographers or videographers or any other non- essential persons may be in the ring during the inspection.
Exceptions: Owners choosing to show their own horse for any part of the inspection process. Handlers may enter to catch/lead horses. The Judges may invite owners into the ring to speak to them and/or for them to accept awards. Site volunteers may go in and out during the course of their Inspection job, and the official site photographer and or/videographer may be in the ring.
Lunging and groundwork/exercise privileges allowed for IBOP participants ONLY. Horses being presented in hand may not be lounged or ridden. Helmets required for riding and driving IBOP participants during warming up.
